Help defend the right to vote

26 Oct 2020 9:52 AM | Al Ogata (Administrator)

Following is a message from the FBI.  Please help us defend the right to vote.

As Election Day nears, we are turning to our trusted partners for assistance with communicating facts about two very real threats to our democracy: foreign national influence and federal election crimes.

As you may know, foreign nations have attempted to illegally influence the American political process through disinformation campaigns on social media platforms. Ahead of the 2020 election, we urge all Americans to seek election information from trustworthy sources, verify who produced the content, and consider the intent.

Additionally, we urge anyone suspecting a federal election crime to report the offense to their local FBI field office or by visiting tips.fbi.gov. Attached you will find a simple guide to what constitutes a federal election crime.

As a trusted partner, we ask for your assistance in the following ways:

  • Share FBI's social media posts related to voting and Election 2020:
  • Share this recently released video: Safeguarding Your Vote: A Joint Message on Election Security. In this short video, directors of the FBI, National Security Agency, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, and National Counterintelligence and Security Center discuss their agencies' shared commitment to protecting the integrity of the 2020 election.

We appreciate your help promoting the facts about foreign national influence and federal election crimes.

Mahalo!
